Run our machining cell — CNC mills and lathes, plus manual work — making parts to spec from production runs to one-off precision components. Real precision work, no commodity job-shop grind.

ABOUT MOUNTAIN OFF-ROAD / DSM

Mountain Off-Road / DSM is a precision steel fabrication and CNC machining platform in Delta, Colorado.

structural steel for utility-scale infrastructure Stainless production cells for OEM clients Aftermarket consumer products We're scaling. In the last twelve months we've signed multi-year programs with national clients, launched a dedicated stainless production cell, and stood up the first formal pod operating model in our shop's history. This isn't a maintenance shop.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Run CNC mills and lathes (and manual machines) to produce parts to drawing Read prints with GD&T , set up jobs, choose tooling, dial in offsets Program at the controller ( Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol , or comparable) or run pre-programmed jobs First-article inspection and in-process QC — own the part before it leaves your cell Maintain machines — preventive maintenance, coolant/fluid management, tool and insert organization Coordinate with engineering on tolerance and feature questions Support production runs for aftermarket products plus one-off precision work for fab pods

GROWTH PATH

First 90 days: Onboard onto the machining cell, learn our tooling library, run production for aftermarket and fab pod support. 6 months: Full cell autonomy. Own setups, programming, and quality. Begin developing tooling library documentation. 12 months: Machining cell lead. Influence equipment decisions, tooling investment, and process standards.

Beyond:

Machining Cell Lead or Precision Production Lead as the platform scales.

REQUIRED

3+ years CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes) Read prints with GD&T — datums, tolerances, and feature callouts Programming at the controller, or experience with Mastercam, Fusion 360, or Esprit Tooling library knowledge — inserts, end mills, drills, taps, fixturing Mechanical aptitude — troubleshoot setup, fixture, and tooling issues Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for full shift, work safely around moving equipment

PREFERRED

5-axis machining experience Experience with aluminum, stainless, and exotic alloys Manual mill, lathe, or surface grinder experience CAM programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit, GibbsCAM) Production cell or Lean manufacturing experience First-article inspection / CMM familiarity
