June 25, 2026 About the Role As a Level 3 Machinist at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in producing precision-machined parts using manual machining tools and equipment. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor at our Arvada, CO facility, you will ensure high-quality manufacturing output while adhering strictly to safety and quality standards. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes by delivering expertly crafted components that meet customer specifications and contribute to overall production success. Key Responsibilities- Operate manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, jig bores, and horizontal boring mills to produce precision parts (Primary focus on CNC lathe and CNC mill work).
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations and exact specifications.
- Perform inspections and measurements on machined parts to maintain quality standards using micrometers, dial indicators, surface plates, bench comparators, profilometers, and optical comparators.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize machining processes and meet production targets.
- Work the 2nd shift schedule (Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM
- 10:00 PM). Qualifications & Requirements Basic Qualifications (MUST HAVE):
Experience:
5+ years of proven experience as a manual machinist with comprehensive knowledge of machining processes and equipment.Technical Setup:
4+ years of experience operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders.Inspection Skills:
4+ years of experience utilizing precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, and gauges).Blueprint Reading:
Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.Mechanical Aptitude:
Demonstrated mechanical expertise and machine operation skills. Preferred Qualifications (WE VALUE):- Associate degree or technical certification in machining or a related trade.
- 5+ years of manual machining experience within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-precision work.
- Strong knowledge of shop safety regulations and best operational practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
