CNC Machinist Class A Setup

We are looking for a highly motivated self- starter to help us continue to expand our machining operations. More detail in the description below Summary Description Under General Supervision, sets-up and operates various CNC machines. Assumes responsibility for direction of CNC operators as assigned and performs related manufacturing operations as required. Exemplary Duties/Responsibilities Performs set-up on new and proven CNC parts, tool changes and resetting of tool offsets when necessary. Direct and train Operators, Class C and/or Class B set-up men as assigned. Conducts in-process inspection in accordance with

ASCT QSM.

Be creative in solving unique manufacturing challenges of prototype, novel parts and assemblies including custom tooling and fixturing. Be able to work simultaneously on more than one machine or project as required. Maintain documentation related to the production of parts and inspection reports. Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment. Dismantle set-ups and return tools to proper location upon completion of manufacturing runs. Report discrepancies to blueprint dimensions to management. Employment Standards Education/ Experience Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: 1.) Completion of a machine trade high school or related secondary machine course. 2.) Complete knowledge of CNC G codes with ability to produce CNC programs and edits without assistance. 3.) Three to five years related CNC experience. Knowledge Basic blueprint reading skills. Ability to read, comprehend and use inspection equipment to verify dimensions.

Inspection equipment such as:

Height gauge, micrometers, calipers, depth guage, etc. Skill Understanding and carrying out oral and written instructions, cleaning and caring for assigned work areas and equipment. Operate various CNC and manual machines along with associated operations as described on manufacturing process routings; establish and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work; lifting up to 45 pounds. Support the ASCT Quality System based on the requirements of

ISO-9001

2015, becoming familiar with documented procedures and practices that affect product quality.
