In this role, you will operate a variety of production machinery which may include lathes, grinders, and mills. Our ideal candidate has roughly a year of experience and is willing to learn the machines and products that the Company produces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with growing company centered on integrity and excellence. Responsibilities Operate production machinery assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment. Machine parts to sketch or blueprint drawings. Inspect finished work with tools including calipers, micrometers and other gauges. Maintain production logs included job travelers and our computer ERP system to document time and units produced. Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Strong desire to continuously learn and improve skills. Familiarity with converting measurements, calculating and inputting machine offsets, performing tool wear compensations, etc
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 - 60.0 per week
