Job Description

Programs, sets up, and operates CNC multi-axis lathes to produce close-tolerance components from metals and plastics. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of CNC machining experience. Experience with CNC multi-axis lathe/turning operations. Working knowledge of milling operations. Experience setting up and operating CNC machines. Experience with G-code and M-code programming. Experience deburring machined components. Ability to detect tool wear and make offset adjustments. Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. Experience machining a variety of metals and plastics. Experience producing components to close dimensional tolerances. Preferred Skills Experience with Mazak MSY machines. Experience programming multi-axis CNC lathes. Experience with combined turning and milling operations. Experience selecting tooling and machining processes. Experience with in-process inspection and dimensional verification. Job Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC multi-axis lathes. Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, sketches, and dimensional requirements. Determine machining processes, tooling, and programming strategies. Create and modify G-code and M-code programs. Perform turning and applicable milling operations. Monitor machining processes for dimensional accuracy and tool condition. Identify tool wear and make required machine offset adjustments. Deburr completed machined parts. Machine components from metals, plastics, and other specified materials. Inspect completed parts to verify compliance with engineering requirements and close tolerances. Troubleshoot machining, setup, tooling, and programming issues.
