High SchoolResponsibilities Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and work orders. Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and saws. Set up and operate CNC machining equipment as required. Machine, fabricate, modify, and repair components to specified tolerances and dimensions. Select proper tooling, cutting tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments for machining operations. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Verify finished products meet quality and dimensional specifications. Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements. Conduct routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of machine shop equipment. Maintain accurate job records, production reports, and quality documentation. Follow company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and machine shop best practices. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to meet project timelines and objectives.
