Job Description

Our client, a leading U.S. based aerospace manufacturing company in Pensacola are currently hiring for a senior CNC Machinist to join their team. The company specialises in high-precision, tight-tolerance components and are known for advanced machining capabilities, strong quality standards, and continued investment in modern manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities for the CNC machinist Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Autodesk Fusion (CAD/CAM). Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning equipment for complex, close-tolerance components. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Monitor production and make adjustments which meet quality standards. Select tooling, fixtures, cutting strategies, and materials for efficiency and repeatability. Troubleshoot machining issues and minimize downtime Ensure full compliance with AS9100 quality requirements, including process control, inspection, and documentation. Mentor and support junior machinists and operators; provide technical guidance and training. Skills & Experience for the CNC machinist Skilled with micrometres, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools Experience machining steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and similar materials Able to work independently and complete jobs from start to finish High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or formal apprenticeship preferred. 7+ years of progressive CNC machining experience, including programming responsibility. Advanced proficiency in CNC machining, G-code, setups, tooling, and process optimization. Demonstrated experience working in AS9100 or equivalent regulated manufacturing environments. Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T and tight-tolerance requirements. Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Physical and Working Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required. Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and tooling. Willingness to work overtime or flexible schedules in support of customer and program requirements.
