Opportunity:
The Tool Maker II position is responsible for moderately complex building and modifying tools, jigs, molds and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations.
Location:
Stuart, FL - Onsite. Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
Works with machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments using a good mechanical aptitude Programs, sets-up, and operates machine tools to perform completely and independently specific operations as required Reads, interprets, and machines moderately detailed and assembly components, jigs and fixtures as indicated on the prints, sketches, and /or other specifications Fabricates moderately complex assembly and drill jigs Changes, sets and adjusts tools as required Determines, sets and adjusts feeds, speeds and stops on all machines in the facility within operation capability to maintain specified tolerances Be familiar with temperature changes caused by machine operations and the use of proper coolants Have moderate knowledge of the machinability of metals Grinds moderately complex cutting tools and drills Checks fixture using specified details and assemblies to see that dimensions are being maintained Reports improper machine function and/or checks parts not being held to the proper dimensions Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Three (3) to five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. Must be able to perform work subject to
ITAR/EAR
regulations.
Work Conditions:
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants and cleaning solutions Occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat Noise level is usually middling Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel Able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch Occasionally required to sit Regularly lifts and/or moves up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) pounds Close vision ability
