certified machine and fabrication shop serving aerospace and DoD customers. We run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling, turning, finishing, custom weldments, electrical enclosures, tube bending, and powder coating. As a CMMC Level 2 shop, we hold ourselves to a high standard — and we need a machinist who can match it. >> You'll take released G-code, tooling, and stock, and turn it into a running, verified setup — reliably, multiple times a day.Specifically:
Set, install, and touch off tooling for 3-axis and 5-axis mill jobs Pull or saw-cut stock as needed Run the first part while closely watching for anomalies — heavy cuts, chatter, unusual sounds — and react before they become a problem Review released G-code before and during the run, fine-tuning at the machine when there's an opportunity to improve safety, cycle time, or fit-up Conduct first article inspection on completed setups Run production following a successful setup >> 5+ years of hands-on experience setting up complex parts on 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills Familiarity with Haas controls — our shop runs Haas machines exclusively, so comfort with the Haas control interface and conversational/G-code environment is a must Strong G-code literacy — able to read a program, understand what it's about to do, and spot ways to run it smarter Comfortable making targeted edits at the machine control to dial in a program High work rate: capable of running 3-4 complete setups per day Strong first article inspection / precision measurement skills Aerospace or defense manufacturing background strongly preferred Must be able to work in a U.S. Person / ITAR-controlled environment >> NIMS certification Experience in a CMMC Level 2 or AS9100D shop Experience with saw-cutting stock to length >> This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in getting a setup right the first time and keeps pace without cutting corners.
