We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Conventional Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate precision components according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate conventional machine tools (e.g., manual lathe, milling machine, surface grinder). Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions. Measure, examine, and test completed parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality output. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate with engineering and production teams as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; technical training or apprenticeship preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience as a machinist operating manual machines. Strong knowledge of machining techniques, materials, and safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Familiarity with basic CNC operations (a plus, not required). Strong mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity.
