Job Description
Job Summary NAECO, LLC, located in Peachtree City, GA, 30 miles south of Atlanta, is a global supplier and manufacturer of electrical contact materials and precision metal parts for industries including aerospace, DOD, railway, power grids, industrial controls, etc. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Swiss CNC Set-Up Machinist to prepare, set up, and operate Swiss-style CNC (Citizens and Tornos) machines to produce precision components with exceptional quality. The shift runs from 5:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday (four 10 hour days per week). Pay is commensurate with experience (and may not match Indeed's listed 'estimated pay/salary'). Employees are eligible for health and other insurance on the first day of the month following the first day of employment. We offer 6 different medical plans (through Aetna), 3 of which have free monthly premiums for employee-only coverage. Family/spouse coverage is available too at a cost. We also offer dental/vision, short/long term disability, and life insurance. After 6 months of employment, employees may enroll in the company 401k plan. We offer a clean, family friendly work environment where our manufacturing area is well lit and is heated and airconditioned. Relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Set up Swiss CNC machines to produce parts meeting blueprint specifications and tolerances
- Read blueprints to produce parts to specification. Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces
- Make tool changes and adjustments, make holding fixtures
- Monitor parts through production by visual observation and dimensional measurement to ensure products meet specifications. Perform any applicable deburring
- Inspect parts using measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and digital comparator
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines Qualifications
- 2-4+ years experience as a Swiss CNC Set-Up Machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and produce parts to specification, and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerance (GD&T)
- Experience in the use of inspection and measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, gages
- Knowledge of a variety of metal materials and their machinability
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Quality driven and strong attention to detail.
- AA degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline a plus
