5:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Machinist position at a company in Hampton, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Select and install tools, fixtures, and materials. Monitor machines and make adjustments to maintain quality and specifications. Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs. Operate manual lathes, forklifts, and electric hoists as needed. Maintain accurate production records and material traceability. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

CNC Machinist Requirements:

Stand and walk throughout most of the workday. Frequently use hands to operate tools, machinery, and controls. Bend, twist, kneel, and reach as needed. Occasionally lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs. Work around machinery, noise, oils, coolants, and other manufacturing materials. High school diploma/GED preferred. 1-3 years of machining or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to use basic measuring tools and perform simple math. Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely.
