Job Description

JOB FUNCTION

To perform all kinds of machining using CNC and manual equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Loads tools and fixtures as required for the job. Runs the jobs as specified by work-order or supervisor. De-burrs and cleans parts if necessary, before/after machining. Inspects as trained or specified by work-order. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

May be assigned to do tapping, c-sinking, machine setup or any other task as specified by a supervisor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of on-the-job training on all operating equipment as specified by supervisor. Training and testing on inspection equipment specified by supervisor or management. Attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others when performing tasks. Work may involve some heavy lifting and bending. Must wear personal protection equipment as specified in the employee handbook. Accident hazard can involve severe cuts and bruises. Exposed to moderate burns and exposed to flying objects, such as chips and scale. Ability to read work orders and communicate verbally with others Ability to repeatedly lift up to 80 pounds Ability to learn new things quickly Experience operating machinery or working with metal is preferred
