Machine Builders & Machinists Pay:

Machine Builders:

$22•27/hr |

Machinists:

$24•34/hr

Shift:

2nd Shift (3:00 PM•11:30 PM)

Shift Differential:

Additional $1.50/hr for 2nd Shift A manufacturing company in the Hawarden area is hiring dependable individuals for Machine Builder and Machinist positions. These are hands-on roles in a climate-controlled shop, building and fabricating custom automated production equipment.

Machine Builder Responsibilities:

Build custom automated production machines and sub-assemblies Assemble machines from drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints Fit, align, and adjust parts to close tolerances Perform machine alignments and final assembly Build electrical and mechanical components for custom equipment Work on unique, custom-designed machines for specialized applications Complete other duties as assigned

Machinist Responsibilities:

Set up and operate lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine tools Fabricate parts from raw stock using engineering drawings and schematics Work to close tolerances and build fixtures as needed Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy Perform filing, fitting, tapping, and other hand operations Complete preventative maintenance and keep work area clean Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Previous machine shop or machine building experience preferred Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of machine tools and precision measuring instruments Good math and communication skills Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English Commitment to workplace safety
