Job Description
Matrix Drilling Products is hiring 1st or 2nd Shift CNC Machinists for our Rexburg, ID facility. The ideal candidates will have experience with CNC mills and lathes.
Responsibilities:
(Not intended to be all inclusive)- Report to work on time and per work schedule. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential job responsibility.
- Work with team leader and team members to achieve necessary work requirements.
- Operate complex machining equipment including start-up and shut-down.
- Produce machined parts per job traveler and prints.
- Perform product changeovers including CNC program selections and modifications if necessary, cutting tool selections, and part checking methods and procedures.
- Perform necessary quality checks of parts including the effective use of calipers, micrometers and complex functional gauges.
- Accurately complete all necessary forms and reporting paperwork.
- Perform operator PM to maintain proper machinery operation.
- Maintain a clean work area including daily cleaning of floors and machinery within the assigned work area.
Qualifications:
- Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make process improvement recommendations.
- Strong math and print interpretation skills.
- Ability to properly load/unload materials and parts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Capable of working in a standing job for continuous periods of 8 hours. Some overtime may be required.
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED Machinist I- Currently enrolled in Trade School or 2 years of machining experience. Machinist II
- Trade School Certificate and 2 years of machining experience or 5 years of machining experience. Machinist III
- Trade School Certificate and 5 years of machining experience or 10 years of machining experience.
Salary:
