$23.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00
PM Experience:
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience

Mazatrol Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified 2-Axis CNC Lathe Machinist with a minimum of three years of experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be able to independently program, set up, and operate CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls while consistently producing high-quality parts from customer drawings with minimal supervision. The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for programming and/or downloading and editing existing programs, setting up and operating CNC equipment, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate production records, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate 2-axis CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls. Perform independent machine setups and produce quality parts from customer drawings with minimal supervision. Read and interpret detailed and complex blueprints, work orders, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements. Write, download, and edit CNC programs, including entering instructions for zero and reference points. Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches. Calculate machining requirements using basic mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry. Prove out and verify CNC part programs before production. Set up CNC lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops. Verify machine settings by measuring tool and workpiece positions and inspecting first-run and sample parts. Perform required buddy checks to ensure accuracy and quality. Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the machining process. Maintain production records and assist with routine equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience. Proven ability to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes independently. Experience with Mazatrol controls required. Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical, geometric, and trigonometric calculations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.
