About the Role Boggs Fabricating Solutions Inc. is a precision machining shop producing high-quality racing components for full-scale and small-scale racing industries. We are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our machine shop.
Pay:
$22-$30/hour based on experience This is a hands-on position focused on setting up and operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, and Swiss CNC machines , running production parts, maintaining quality, and keeping jobs running efficiently. Our equipment includes Brother CNC mills, Doosan CNC lathes, and multiple Swiss CNC lathes . The ideal candidate is comfortable setting up jobs from existing programs, setting tooling and offsets, proving out programs, and making adjustments during production. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and Swiss CNC machines Set up workholding, tooling, tool offsets, and work coordinates Load, verify, and prove out existing CNC programs Safely verify tool paths, clearances, and machine operation Make tool, offset, and process adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensions Perform tool changes and compensate for tool wear during production Monitor machines and make adjustments to maintain consistent production Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Read and follow blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions, and basic GD&T Troubleshoot machining, tooling, workholding, and setup issues Communicate tooling, programming, quality, or process concerns to supervisors or programmers Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean, organized work area Document production and basic maintenance activities as needed Qualifications Previous CNC machining or machine shop experience preferred Experience setting up CNC mills and/or lathes strongly preferred Swiss CNC experience is a plus Ability to read and understand technical drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions Understanding of work offsets, tool offsets, tooling, and basic CNC machining principles Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and setup issues Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn CNC programming experience, G-code knowledge, blueprint reading, and formal machining education or certification are a plus.
