Job Description

CNC Setup Machinist Are you an experienced CNC Setup Machinist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and keeping production running efficiently? We're seeking a skilled CNC professional to join a precision manufacturing team where you'll play a key role in machine setup, production support, continuous improvement, and mentoring others on the shop floor. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in producing quality parts while helping improve manufacturing performance. What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC machining centers for production.
  • Verify setups and maintain maximum machine utilization.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and minimize downtime.
  • Read blueprints and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify part quality.
  • Manage tooling, fixtures, and setup documentation.
  • Support machine maintenance and resolve machine alarms when needed.
  • Partner with Engineering, Programming, Quality, and Production to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, tooling performance, and repeatability.
  • Train and support machine operators on setup procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. What We're Looking For
  • Two or more years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical education in CNC machining or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Working knowledge of tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, and workholding.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good computer and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GD&T.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience training operators or mentoring other machinists. Why Consider This Opportunity
