Machinist PEBCO, Inc. | Paducah, KY PEBCO is seeking a skilled and dependable Machinist to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for machining, fabricating, fitting, assembling, and finishing components and products according to blueprints and job specifications. The role requires the ability to operate a variety of machine shop and fabrication equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, has strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing quality workmanship. Experience in machining, fabrication, manufacturing, or a related trade is preferred.
What You'll Do:
Drill, tap, press, mill, broach, fit up, and machine materials and components according to blueprints and specifications Cut, grind, sand, and file materials to required dimensions and quality standards Set up machines, select tooling, and determine proper material layouts for fabrication projects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Assemble, inspect, and test finished products and components Determine material requirements and verify specifications before production Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tooling, including sharpening tools Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Safely move materials and products using forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, dollies, and other material-handling equipment Assist other departments and production personnel as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Experience in machining, fabrication, manufacturing, welding, or related industrial environments preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Experience operating manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and related tools preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely Forklift experience or certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification) Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to quality workmanship Schedule & Compensation Full-time position Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts Occasional overtime as needed
Pay:
