machinists A machinist is a person that can accurately machine parts to print, using a variety of machines and/or methods, relying on his/her skills, obtained through an accredited trade school or from many years of on-the-job experience. This is not a button-pusher position . We are looking for machinists and not operators. The tooling/fixturing Waltex manufactures is for major automobile manufacturers' welding lines. machines, and fabricates the equipment, then integrates robotic technology. that are components of this tooling. Applicant must be able to read and understand shop blueprints and metric measuring instruments, and have the desire to increase machining skills. New machinists will start out at manual mills. In addition, they must have the desire to cross-train in other areas of the shop, as in basic welding and assembly. New machinists must act as a team player and work well with others in their department to accomplish production targets. The company expects them to be detail-oriented and self-motivated to take on any kind of work, and to make suggestions to improve efficiency of any work process. Overtime will be required during times of increased production, including weekend work. Some travel and working on holidays are also required. Full benefits are offered after three months of employment. Job requirements

• Applicant must be at least 18
• Applicant must read shop blueprints
• Applicant must read metric measuring devices (tape measure, ruler)
• Applicant must be comfortable with using computers. Preferred Skills
• Applicant preferred to have at least an Associates/some college/vocational degree or equivalent
• Applicant who is familiar with Mastercam.
• Applicant who is familiar with G codes / M codes.
• Applicant who has worked with Flow Water Jet machine.

Compensation / Pay

Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
