WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a CNC Machinist, you will set up, program, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot CNC machining equipment to manufacture high-precision components that meet customer and company requirements.
Your responsibilities may include:
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other advanced machining equipment. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, technical documentation, and military specifications. Select and install appropriate cutting tools, workholding, fixtures, and tooling for assigned jobs. Load, verify, modify, and optimize CNC programs as required. Perform in-process and final inspection using precision measuring equipment and established inspection procedures. Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, gauges, and other precision inspection equipment. Identify machining challenges and develop effective solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability. Monitor machining operations and make appropriate adjustments to feeds, speeds, tooling, offsets, and workholding. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues. Work directly with manufacturing engineers, programmers, quality personnel, machinists, fabricators, and other members of the manufacturing team. Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation. Support new product introductions, process development, tooling development, and continuous improvement activities. Continuously identify opportunities to improve machining processes, quality, efficiency, cycle time, and capability. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow established safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies.

EDUCATION A
high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Technical training, machining education, apprenticeship experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on manufacturing experience will also be considered.
