In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines—to include milling and or lathe centers—to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies, including Fanuc controls, and CAM programming, contributing to innovative manufacturing solutions across various industries. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines, such as CNC milling and or lathe machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision. Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment according to specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and engineering documents to ensure parts meet design intent. Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assist in assembly or repair tasks as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards; operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when required. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste. Collaborate with engineering teams on prototype development or tooling adjusting manufacturing processes. Document production activities accurately through shift reports, inspection logs, and quality records. Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming software, and operation of CNC milling machines. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMMs, and dial indicators confidently. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing principles including tooling setup and maintenance. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements. Experience working with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently. Join our team where innovation meets precision! We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment that values your expertise while supporting your professional growth in advanced manufacturing techniques.
