With operations across five North American locations, we provide an extensive fleet of rental equipment along with tailored services to meet our clients' needs. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with mid-level experience to join our team in Broussard, LA . This role primarily involves operating a CNC lathe to thread API connections on drill pipe and BHA equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in machining within an industrial or oilfield environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes (primarily Haas ST-40L) for threading API connections
- Study work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to plan machining operations
- Interpret GD&T and technical drawings accurately
- Set up machines, including tooling, offsets, and program inputs
- Basic editing on programs mills and lathes, including proving out part programs
- Monitor machining processes (turning, facing, grooving, threading) for quality
- Measure parts and adjust processes to maintain specifications
- Troubleshoot machining issues and replace or sharpen tooling as needed
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain a safe work environment Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience
- Experience with Haas
ST-40L CNC
- Experience with Haas
TL-4 CNC
- Familiarity with Puma 480D, 480L, or 800L CNC machines
- CNC mill experience is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math, geometry, and trigonometry calculations
- Experience in oilfield or heavy industrial machining environments Schedule - Full-time, Monday through Friday, some weekends. Average 45-55 hours per week. What We Offer
