Direct methods in which parts are to be machined and generate control commands for CNC machinery Review job specifications and requirements Determine best setup and machine tool utilization based on the complexity of the part, shape, size and quantity Determine codes and commands necessary to control cut type, size and feed rates, start points, table, spindle and chuck movements, tool selection Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, utilizing experience and knowledge of machine shop procedure, materials and tooling requirements Review all drawings and specifications and become familiar with required dimensions and tolerances, operations and setup specifications Verify dimensions of finished components and provides markings and reference points as guides for other necessary machining operations Operate a forklift and overhead crane
