Machinist - Day Shift

CNC Lathe Machinist responsible for complex CNC lathe setups, multi-axis turning, first article work, tight-tolerance machining, and aerospace component production. Job Requirements Approximately 10 years of CNC machining experience Experience with CNC lathe machining Experience with C-axis and Y-axis lathe operations Experience using jaws of various sizes Experience using 16C and 5C collets Experience with multi-axis CNC turning Experience with live tooling, sub-spindle, and Y-axis machining Ability to perform complex setups Ability to complete first article work Strong GD&T knowledge Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience working with tight tolerances Experience machining hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant aerospace materials Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements Proficiency with inspection tools and precision measuring techniques Preferred Skills Experience running Okuma controls Experience running Fanuc controls Experience producing aerospace components Experience troubleshooting CNC lathe machining issues Experience working from established standards, guidelines, and procedures Experience producing detailed, high-quality machined parts Experience maintaining consistent, regulation-based machining practices Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes for precision machining Perform complex CNC lathe setups Complete first article inspections and approvals Run C-axis and Y-axis lathe operations Perform multi-axis CNC turning using live tooling, sub-spindle, and Y-axis capabilities Machine parts using jaws, 16C collets, and 5C collets Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and technical drawings Machine components to tight tolerance requirements Produce parts from hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant aerospace materials Use inspection tools and precision measuring techniques to verify part quality Troubleshoot machining, setup, tooling, and quality issues Follow AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements Produce work according to established standards, guidelines, procedures, and defined regulations Maintain consistent, error-free machining output for detailed production work

Pay:
