- Machinist Level 2
- to join a precision manufacturing team in Vermont.
This is a hands-on machining role for someone who enjoys working with CNC and manual equipment, reading mechanical drawings, producing quality parts, and developing their machining skills in a collaborative manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with manufacturing and mechanical engineering teams to machine, inspect, and assemble precision components while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. What You'll Do
+ Operate CNC lathes and/or machining centers based on your training and experience
+ Perform manual machining using mills, lathes, grinders, drills, and other equipment
+ Set up machines and make basic program edits as needed
+ Read and interpret mechanical drawings, including datums, GD&T, tolerances, and multiple views
+ Measure and inspect machined components using appropriate gauges and inspection tools
+ Perform basic assembly of mechanical components as required
+ Perform routine machine maintenance
+ Identify and address quality issues during the machining process
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
+ Work with Mechanical Engineers and other manufacturing team members
+ Take on additional machining and manufacturing responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For
+ High school diploma or GED +
- 2+ years of hands-on machining experience
- + Experience with CNC machinery and/or manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and drills + Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings + Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, datums, and drawing views + Experience measuring and inspecting machined parts + Basic machine setup and program editing experience + Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning + Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team + Positive, collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail What You'll Gain This is an opportunity to work in a hands-on precision manufacturing environment where you'll have exposure to a variety of machining tasks and equipment.

- + Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment + Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection when necessary Training Employees will receive training related to: + General workplace safety + SDS and Hazard Communication + ISO quality standards and awareness
