Position Summary Supports tooling engineers with planning, testing and related activities within assigned projects Job Description Builds and repairs custom machine shop tools using machining equipment and measuring instruments. Works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and molds. Calculates the dimensions and tolerances required to set up the machine tools. Operates lathes, grinders, milling, and boring machines to produce tools. Generally, is participating in: Apprenticeship 3-5 years, hands-on training combined with classroom instruction; often the gold standard Technical/trade school certificate 6 months-2 years Focused CNC/machining programs, often at community colleges Associate degree (e.g., Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Tech)2 years Broader theory plus hands-on; helps with advancement. Expected Compensation:

The expected compensation range for this role is $65,312.00 - $81,536.00. Please note this represents the expected range.
