Job Description

Machinist The Machinist is responsible for repairing or rebuilding tools and die components using manual machine shop equipment. Essential Job Functions Set up and operate manual machines, including lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders. Maintain machines and tools in good working condition. Sharpen knives and scissors. Service steel rule dies, including sharpening blades and replacing punches. Perform basic mold repairs, including repairing mold marks, updating date codes, making or changing poppets, and making simple tools. Read blueprints and other tool design documentation. Fabricate and modify basic tooling and components. Make recommendations to supervisors to improve process flow. Perform basic inspections. Use various hand and power tools. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools, parts, paperwork, and other materials are stored properly. Comply with applicable company and site policies and procedures. Work in other functional areas as needed to support business needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or
GED. 1-3
years of relevant experience. Trade school education or related work experience preferred. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently while contributing to team and department success. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Flexible availability with the ability to work overtime as needed. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and noise. Ability to work around chemicals while following applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements, including materials such as alcohol, acids, and bases #
FLS Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
