DIRECT HIRE ROLE
from day one
Responsibilities:
Setup and operate CNC lathes including tooling, workholding, and machine offsets Interpret complex drawings, GD&T, and 3D models to plan machining strategies. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding methods. Perform first-article inspections and adjust offsets or tooling as needed. Troubleshoot machining issues to ensure repeatable, high-quality results Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G/M code) directly at the control or through CAM systems. Verify and prove out new or modified programs during setup. Collaborate with engineers and production leads to improve program efficiency and consistency. Maintain organized program documentation and revision control Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators for inspection. Conduct in-process inspections and complete job documentation accurately.
Qualifications:
Previous CNC lathe experience with programming Strong understanding of CNC programming (manual G/M code and/or CAM software) Able to read and interpret GD&T Experience with tooling selection, workholding and precision measuring instruments Experience with multi-axis is a plus Hours are: Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm The pay is up to $40.00 an hour based on experience
