Job Description
J&E Precision Tool, Inc has an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Lathe Setup / Operator to produce close tolerance aerospace parts. We are a rapidly growing, registered
ISO9001/AS9100
machine shop who is looking for someone like you. Plans assigned jobs in coordination with the programmer, general manager, and production manager. Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans and book documents. Understands specifications and desired results. Gathers appropriate material, tooling, fixturing and other supplies. Sets-up mills and/or lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers or other specific standards given by engineering; indicating vices; tramming heads, etc. Maintaining machine coolant, oil levels, etc. at all times in machine. Changing out chip bins when necessary. Supervise the machine while it is running and make any necessary adjustments when needed. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Submit to Quality Inspector for first piece, in process, and final inspections. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements provided on the maintenance sign off sheets; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying management of issues for repairs to be scheduled. Operate additional machinery when required without supervision. Complete necessary annual trainings for audit preparation. Maintain a neat and tidy work area; Use time wisely. All other duties as assigned by top management.
