Job Description

Day Shift | $25-$35/Hour Based on Experience Are you a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work and solving unique manufacturing challenges? We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join a well-established industrial machine shop specializing in custom manufacturing, equipment repair, and precision machining. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of one-off and custom projects rather than repetitive production work. Candidates who enjoy problem-solving, blueprint reading, and hands-on machining will thrive in this environment. Pay & Schedule $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Pay based on experience Day Shift Full-Time Position Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Machine new components and repair existing parts to precise tolerances Perform measurements and inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machining methods Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments Maintain quality standards and ensure completed work meets customer requirements Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Qualifications Previous manual machining experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Experience working with precision measuring instruments Strong understanding of machining practices and tolerances Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Commitment to producing high-quality work Preferred Experience Job shop or custom machining environment Repair machining and equipment rebuild experience Experience machining large steel components Industrial, mining, construction, or heavy equipment experience Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement savings, paid time off, paid holidays, and opportunities for career growth and advancement.
