•Job is located in Hanover, PA
•Job Overview Exact Machine Service is seeking a skilled and reliable Machinist to support our Machine Shop Manager in the production and repair of precision parts. This role involves working with a variety of machines, tools, and manual equipment to produce high-quality components that meet customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with coworkers to ensure efficient operations, quality work, and strong teamwork Interpret customer needs and plan the sequence of actions required to complete each job Select and operate appropriate machines and tools for each task Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine requirements Measure and mark materials for cutting and shaping Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications Maintain accurate records of labor hours and materials used Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Proven experience as a machinist Strong understanding of math and mechanical principles Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Experience operating manual machines (lathes, mills, band saws, etc.) Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) Knowledge of metal properties and other materials Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane Welding experience is helpful Strong attention to detail and quality Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, twisting, and repetitive motion Regular use of hands to handle tools and equipment Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Good physical stamina Work Environment & Supervision This position operates with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while taking direction from the Machine Shop Manager as needed.
Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
