Auburn Hills, MI Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret mechanical and assembly drawings, and hands-on experience assembling industrial machinery and equipment. This role is responsible for building equipment to specification, supporting quality and production requirements, documenting issues and changes, and working closely with the Machine Build Lead to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. The position may require 20% or more travel , including domestic and international travel depending on project requirements. Key Responsibilities Assemble industrial equipment and machinery according to mechanical and assembly drawings, specifications, and established procedures. Read and interpret part drawings, assembly drawings, and related documentation with intermediate proficiency. Perform assigned machine-building tasks with minimal direct supervision while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. Identify, document, and communicate design changes, build issues, and problems encountered during assembly. Communicate regularly with the Machine Build Lead regarding project status, open issues, changes, and progress. Execute projects in accordance with ISO and company quality standards . Support successful execution of assigned programs with a focus on cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction . Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the build process. Assist with preparing materials and components for secondary processes, including material finishing, heat treating, and deburring. Safely and effectively operate a variety of machine shop equipment, including- Mills Lathes Drill presses Surface grinders Grinders Saws Shears Presses Work collaboratively with other Machine Builders, Leads, Engineers, and Project personnel to resolve build issues and meet project milestones.
