About Us We design and manufacture advanced finishing equipment used by customers across a variety of industries. Our team prides itself on craftsmanship, precision, and delivering equipment that performs flawlessly. We're looking for a skilledMachine Builder to join our Grand Rapids team and help bring our designs to life. Position Overview As a Machine Builder, you will construct, assemble, and prepare a variety of specialized equipment, including material transporters, tanks, and pump assemblies. This role combines mechanical assembly, light electrical work, and hands-on fabrication. You'll work closely with engineers, fabricators, and fellow builders to ensure every machine meets our high-quality standards before it ships to the customer. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Assemble machine parts and components with precision. Complete basic electrical wiring for equipment components. Test completed machines to ensure proper functionality and performance. Collaborate with engineers and peers to troubleshoot and resolve build issues. Provide on-the-job training to less experienced builders as needed. Operate hand tools and power tools, including mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and shears. Disassemble, prepare, and crate equipment for safe shipment to customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety protocols and complete required job paperwork. Maintain tools and equipment in top condition. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus. Prior experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, or a related manufacturing role. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Proficient with a variety of hand and power tools.
