Full-Time Gage Bilt has been a leading manufacturer of high-quality aerospace and industrial rivet and lockbolt installation tools for 70 years. We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to support low-volume production, special orders, tooling, and fixture work within our manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability who is comfortable working independently and handling a variety of manual machining tasks throughout the day. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings Operate manual Bridgeports, lathes, arbor presses, and welding equipment Use measuring instruments to inspect parts and verify dimensions Complete paperwork and documentation for work performed Perform low-volume production work typically ranging from 5-20 pieces Produce special orders, alterations, and one-off parts as needed Assist with tool making and fixture-building projects Support the grind department when needed Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow company and plant safety requirements Qualifications Previous manual machining experience required Strong mechanical aptitude Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other measuring equipment Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Welding experience is a plus Tool making and fixture-building experience preferred What We Offer Company sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with 4% company match PTO Education Assistance Opportunities to learn new skills and grow within the company
