Assemble mechanical systems and automation equipment per engineering drawings and schematics.
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and electricians to ensure proper fit and function of assemblies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
CNC MACHINISTCOMSTOCK PARK, MICHIGAN - LEAR ASI AUTOMATION DIVISION NATURE OF WORK
The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and a commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints, working with tight tolerances, and collaborating with engineering and other teams to bring complex designs to life.EXAMPLES OF WORK
PERFORMEDSet up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, and Haas VF6) to produce parts to specificationInterpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirementsSelect appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each jobMonitor machine operations, adjust settings, and perform quality checks using precision measuringinstruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipmentTroubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineers to improve processesDocument production activities and maintain accurate records of parts and materialsEnsure compliance with safety standards and shop protocolsFabricate parts using saws, grinders, shears, brakes, and other shop tools.Assemble mechanical systems and automation equipment per engineering drawings and schematics.
