Toolroom Specialist Shift:

Shift Role Overview:

The Maintenance Machinist is responsible for the precision machining and reworking of critical mill components. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with both manual and CNC equipment to keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup and operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, and surface grinders for daily toolroom tasks. Operate and troubleshoot Haas CNC lathes, including diagnosing physical hardware issues (e.g., turret alignment). Rework weld rolls for heavy tube mills (including Mill 3 and Mill 4). Machine consumable impeder parts strictly to print. Rough out jaws from solid stock for mill changeovers and maintenance.

Requirements:

Extensive experience with heavy industrial machining. Strict adherence to standard ASE/SAE measurements (metric system not utilized). Ability to read mechanical blueprints and fabricate parts from raw stock.

Pay:

$28.00 - $29.00 per hour
