POSITION SUMMARY
The Marathon Detroit Michigan Refinery has an opening for a pump mechanical mobile operator.PAY AND BENEFITS
$43.77/hour with scheduled annual increases Company sponsored annual bonus with target of 6% of eligible wages 401k with company match up to 7% Central States Pension Plan Paid vacation, sick and holidays Paid parental leave Education reimbursement Health/Dental/Vision available after 30 days with no monthly employee contributionsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair, troubleshoot, and install rotating equipment, including: Centrifugal, axial, and reciprocating compressors Centrifugal, diaphragm and positive displacement pumps Chemical injection pumps Turbine and motor-driven equipment drives
- Use of precision measuring instruments
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
- Complete maintenance documentation, reports and measurement forms
- Follow refinery work permit procedures and safety standards
- Operate and maintain qualifications for mobile equipment such as: Forklifts Telehandlers Man Lifts
- Obtain NCCCO Fixed Cab Crane Certification within 9 months of hire date, if not already certified.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license. Ability to wear appropriate PPE and preform physical field work. Must pass a DOT physical. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship. Must pass both a written test and a hands-on skill demonstration test.Preferred Qualifications:
