POSITION SUMMARY
The Marathon Detroit Michigan Refinery has an opening for a pump mechanical mobile operator.
PAY AND BENEFITS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Repair, troubleshoot, and install rotating equipment, including: Centrifugal, axial, and reciprocating compressors Centrifugal, diaphragm and positive displacement pumps Chemical injection pumps Turbine and motor-driven equipment drives
  • Use of precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Complete maintenance documentation, reports and measurement forms
  • Follow refinery work permit procedures and safety standards
  • Operate and maintain qualifications for mobile equipment such as: Forklifts Telehandlers Man Lifts
  • Obtain NCCCO Fixed Cab Crane Certification within 9 months of hire date, if not already certified.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license. Ability to wear appropriate PPE and preform physical field work. Must pass a DOT physical. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship. Must pass both a written test and a hands-on skill demonstration test.
