SUMMARY Machine Builders at NBE play a critical role in bringing our custom-engineered bulk material handling systems to life. This hands-on position is responsible for assembling, testing, and preparing each piece of equipment to meet the exact specifications and quality standards NBE is known for.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams. Assemble mechanical systems using a variety of tools, equipment, and assembly techniques. Collaborate with engineers, team leaders, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve build issues. Use power tools, hand tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, ladders, and lifts in a safe and efficient manner. Access SolidWorks files and other digital documentation via computer to guide the build process. Conduct machine startup and dry run testing to ensure functionality prior to shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with NBE safety standards. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precision-built equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in machine building, industrial equipment assembly, or a similar role. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial automation components. Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus. Basic computer proficiency (e.g., navigating network folders, viewing CAD files).
