Experienced OD Grinder Machinist•Manual & CNC•Day Shift 4-Day Work Week | No Weekends |
Air-Conditioned Shop Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM•4:30 PM (Full-Time) Part Time employee's schedule to be determined to fit our needs and your availability No weekends. No nights. Burchett Quality Tool is looking for an experienced OD Grinder Machinist with manual and CNC grinding experience to join our team. This position requires someone who understands precision grinding, measurements, and tight tolerances and can produce high-quality cutting tools. The ideal candidate is experienced in setting up and operating both manual and CNC OD grinding equipment and can work independently in a precision manufacturing environment. What We Offer 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday) Day shift only Air-conditioned shop No personal tools required Direct-hire, stable position Health insurance after 90 days (Full-time only) Retirement plan after 90 days (Full-time only) Paid Time Off Job Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and CNC OD grinding equipment Grind carbide and steel cutting tools to print specifications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Understand and maintain tight tolerances and quality requirements Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection tools Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications Make machine adjustments and offsets as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Qualifications Previous experience as an OD Grinder Machinist is preferred; candidates with strong machining experience will also be considered Experience operating both manual and CNC OD grinders is preferred Experience with cutting tools is a plus Strong understanding of precision measurements, tolerances, and inspection requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Experience using precision measuring equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Dependable and reliable with a strong work history Willing, able, and excited to learn new skills and processes Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team Ability to work independently with minimal supervision This is a direct-hire position only.
