Lathe Operator Position Summary The Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting. This position works in custom job shop environment. Previous lathe experience is preferred Key Responsibilities Set up and operate lathes to machine precision components from a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron. Install and adjust tooling, work holdings, and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, and work instructions. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Qualifications Working knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining processes. Ability to inspect parts and maintain close tolerances. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
