Full-Time | On-Site Position Overview A manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment in a precision machining environment. This is a hands-on machining role for someone who can work independently, read blueprints and GD&T, make offsets and basic program edits, and consistently produce parts to specification. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment. Read blueprints, shop orders, and technical drawings. Make tool offsets, machine adjustments, and minor program edits. Change cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and tooling as needed. Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot machining issues. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections. Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools. Verify dimensions and tolerances against print requirements. Identify and report quality or machining concerns. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Follow all safety, quality, and 5S standards. Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience. Strong CNC setup and operating experience. Experience making offsets and basic CNC program edits. Ability to read blueprints and GD&T . Proficient with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other inspection tools. Strong understanding of machining processes and tight tolerances. Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues with minimal supervision. High school diploma or GED. Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and repeatability. Reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Environment Industrial machine shop environment. Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to machinery, noise, and machining materials. PPE required in designated areas. The strongest candidates will be comfortable independently setting up equipment, making machining adjustments, inspecting their own work, and troubleshooting issues to keep production running safely and accurately.
