Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring accurate production runs Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precise machining Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC G-code and M-code programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and Mazatrol controls Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions and quality Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize machining accuracy and efficiency Conduct quality inspections of machined parts through CNC quality inspection procedures and measurement in accordance with blueprint requirements Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; assist in machine maintenance and setup as needed Requirements Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with proficiency in manual machining techniques Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code, M-code, and Mazatrol control systems Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for interpreting mechanical blueprints Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and perform mechanical blueprint reading with precision measurement instruments like micrometers and bore gauges Knowledge of machining tools, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments for metal machining applications Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, and speeds necessary for machining processes Mechanical knowledge related to machine setup, tooling selection, fixture installation, and troubleshooting CNC equipment Understanding of GD&T principles for ensuring parts meet strict quality standards in manufacturing environments This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about precision manufacturing who thrive on technical challenges.
