Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties Set up and operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring precise machine setup according to technical specifications. Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC G-code programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and manual programming techniques. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce accurate components. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions and quality. Perform routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize machining performance. Read and analyze blueprints and technical documents to determine machining sequences and tooling requirements. Inspect finished parts for quality compliance through CNC quality inspection procedures and measurement techniques. Utilize hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other manual machining equipment for secondary operations or finishing tasks when necessary. Maintain detailed records of production activities, measurements, and quality checks in accordance with safety and quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with CAM software is highly preferred. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and understanding GD&T principles. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and perform precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc. Familiarity with machining tools such as grinders, hand tools, power tools, bore gauges, bore gauges, and measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and other machining parameters. Ability to set up machines accurately while adhering to safety protocols; experience with manual machining is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent attention to detail ensures high-quality output in metal machining projects.
