Rockford, MI | 2nd Shift | $24+ Depending on Experience Summary This position is ideal for a highly skilled CNC professional who can lead and support a team, troubleshoot machining issues, and handle CNC programming and precision machining operations. The CNC Lead will help oversee 2nd shift operations while ensuring quality, productivity, and proper machine setup.

Essential Job Functions/Duties Lead & Support:

Lead and support the CNC team on 2nd shift.

CNC Operation:

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines. 3/5

Axis Machining:

Operate 3/5 Axis CNC machines to perform cutting operations.

Quality Control:

Quality-check machined parts by calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Identify machining issues and perform repairs where needed.

Machine Setup:

Set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools as well as specialized and advanced machine tools used for precision machining operations.

Tooling & Fixtures:

Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.

Overtime:

Overtime is expected. Requirements Strong CNC machining experience. Ability to lead and support a CNC team. Experience setting up and operating CNC machines. Experience with 3/5 Axis CNC machines. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and perform repairs. Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and basic mathematics. Ability to work 2nd shift. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
