Job Summary:

The Machine Builder must be able to assemble machinery and details from blueprints, run pneumatic plumbing and routing for valve and cylinders, set pneumatic regulators and flow controls, initial machine alignments and initial startup of machine.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Machine Builder is to perform the following daily, weekly and project tasks. 1. Works from assembly drawings, detail drawings, sketches or verbal instruction with minimal supervision. 2. Interfaces with development engineering to help execute improved designs. 3. Maintains safety consciousness at all times. 4. Occasional travel to customer sites for installation, repair, sevice

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Must have knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems. 2. Must be able to read and follow mechanical blueprints. 3. Skills that include fabrication, machining, plumbing, and assembly are a plus. 4. Must have experience with use of hand/air tools. 5. Knowledge to operate mills, surface grinders and power saws. The ability to use shop math and formulas to calculate angles, ratios and proportions a plus. 6. Ability to read electrical schematics and wire electrical panels a plus. 7. Ability to tig and mig weld a plus. 8. Must have ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. 9. Minimum 5 years machine building experience required. 9. Must have ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
