CNC Lathe Machinist - 1st Shift Warren, MI | Up to $32/hour | $3,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus The Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team is recruiting for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for our client, a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Warren, MI. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Lathe Machinist to join a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC lathe experience, the ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications, and experience working with precision measuring equipment. Aerospace manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. This position will work with large components ranging from approximately 30" to 70" in diameter , including both military and commercial applications.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
Up to $32/hour $3,000 sign-on/retention bonus 1st
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Benefits effective after 30 days 401(k) with company match Additional 4% company contribution to 401(k) each year Overtime opportunities as needed Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines . Operate multiple machines simultaneously when feasible, as many machines are organized into manufacturing cells. Machine hard metals including Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel . Read and interpret English-language operation sheets, symbols, and manufacturing documentation. Read and interpret CNC programs at the machine . Use FANUC controls and make program offsets as required. Load and secure parts onto fixtures. Load parts and fixtures onto hoists and safely operate hoists to position components onto machines. Read tool sheets and set up tooling for specific jobs and parts. Use precision measuring equipment including gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers . Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) . Maintain extremely tight machining tolerances, including measurements within thousandths of an inch . Work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and production requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager. Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience working with major aerospace OEM programs is highly desirable. Strong CNC lathe experience. Experience with FANUC controls . Experience working with Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel , and other hard metals. Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills. Knowledge of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining. Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers. Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations using a calculator. Ability to read and interpret CNC programs and tool sheets. Comfortable working around large machinery and components. Ability to stand for extended periods and climb stairs on machine platforms. Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States .

Pay Details:
