Job Description
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Build Precision Components That Power Major Industries Mactech is a leader in specialty machining and industrial equipment serving customers in power generation, shipbuilding, heavy manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy industries. We're looking for a skilled Machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision parts while working with state-of-the-art equipment and a team dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation. What You'll Do As a Machinist, you will: Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture precision components Load, verify, and adjust machine programs Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections Measure parts using: Calipers Micrometers Height gauges Bore gauges Dial indicators Other precision inspection equipment Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain tight tolerances Perform preventative maintenance and basic machine maintenance Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements Maintain a clean and organized workspace utilizing 5S principles Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and production personnel Complete production documentation accurately Follow all safety policies and OSHA requirements Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of machining experience or completion of a 2-year technical machining program Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code Understanding of tooling selection, feeds, and speeds Experience using precision measuring instruments Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Preferred Experience with: CNC machine setup Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar controls GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) CAM-generated programs Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement initiatives Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Overtime opportunities available based on production demands Why Join Mactech?
