Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a highly mechanical and hands-on Mechanical Shop Assembler / Builder to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing custom machinery and mechanical equipment from prints, drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate enjoys building things, diagnosing mechanical issues, and working with a variety of equipment and tools. Candidates with experience rebuilding engines, restoring tractors, working on heavy equipment, or assembling industrial machinery are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical systems, machines, and equipment using prints, drawings, and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and identify causes of nonconforming products. Perform mechanical adjustments, repairs, and modifications as needed. Operate shop equipment including mills, lathes, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment. Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and specifications. Assist with machine setup, testing, and final inspections. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve assembly challenges. Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements. Qualifications Required Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Preferred Experience assembling industrial machinery, equipment, or custom-built machines. Experience operating mills, lathes, saws, and other machine shop equipment. Mechanical maintenance or repair experience. Automotive, diesel, agricultural equipment, small engine, or heavy equipment repair experience. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
