You'll work closely with Engineering to manufacture tooling while setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting multiple CNC machines. Must Haves - Please Read Before Applying To be considered for this position, you must have: Associate degree in Machining OR at least 5 years of machining experience Hands-on experience setting up CNC machines - this is not an operator-only position Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Experience following CNC setup instructions and tooling lists Experience setting up tooling including drills, end mills, taps and reamers Ability to use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers and test indicators Experience adjusting tool and work offsets Ability to perform basic CNC program troubleshooting Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills Candidates whose experience is limited to loading/unloading parts or basic CNC machine operation will not be suitable for this position. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining centers Read engineering drawings and setup instructions Install and remove vises and fixtures Perform routine CNC machine maintenance Troubleshoot CNC programs Calibrate probes and tool setters Adjust tool and work offsets Set rotation on larger components Prepare materials for machining Machine precision components accurately and efficiently Safely operate forklifts and lifting equipment This role would suit a CNC Setup Machinist, CNC Machinist, Tooling Machinist or Precision Machinist .
